I think they’re supposed to be stars. Some stars are depicted pointy, some are more rounded. Some you have a crisp view on, others you see blurred or even just hinted at. But every star is beautiful and unique.

Completely agree. I used to teach life drawing, and one model had plastic surgery, no gravity—that made the students’ job harder to draw her figure in a natural life-like manner. The same issue happened with a male model with a too perfect gym-bod. I find the best models for idealist images to be dancers and athletes.
