No one said it would be easy. But the more you hate who you used to be, the worse you feel about yourself today.

It's doing the best it can. It's utilizing maladaptive coping mechanisms that were learned in dysfunction.
Look into Internal Family Systems. It's very common to do self therapy with it, but it's also a good lead in to therapy in general.
I will say that talking to it like that is only exacerbating the problem and creating a war inside of you. Doing the best you can to find places of mindfulness where you can observe that part neutrally, and practicing that daily, WILL help at least a little after just a few weeks of practice.

You can't run or hide from your own thoughts. I have found it best to face your negative thoughts head on. Recognize they are a part of you but dont have to control you. You will have to work with them and this piece of art is a fantastic representation of that.

If you can relate suffering you had to go through with your uniqueness and what you are, this might be possible.

Beautiful! I think this message is one we need constant reminders of (at least I know I do), as we have been so deeply programmed to repress so many aspects of our life experiences. Thank you for the creative reminder!

How do you befriend the monster that's been ruining your life?. The piece of shit who has successfully spoiled your plans your entire life, and will eventually drive you to suicide? What sense is there in that?
