I loved this Levi's Men's Sherpa Lind Rugged Buffed Cow Faux Leather Hooded Racer

However after a couple years or so, it obviously starts peeling on certain areas because it's not real leather.

I'm looking for a recommendation I could buy that has this style. And I know it won't include the fabric/hoodie part. I still love the jacket style. Most leather jacket styles I've seen around here and in other sites look so bad (imo) or theyre shaped weird

I'd suggest "Roots Men's Trucker Jacket Vegetal". They're not cheap, but they ARE real leather.

Roots leather jackets are very high quality and long wearing. I have one that I got in 1998 that I wear regularly and shows a nice aging patina but no signs of wear.

I think Schott will get you close off the rack if you want top notch quality.

But I think First Manufacturing will get you closest in style, and at a better price. They actually have jackets with zip out hoods. They make inexpensive but nice riding jackets which are comfortable just standing around. They range from simple to technical, as in some of the jackets might be loaded with vents or perforations you don't want, or have a zip out thermal vest. In any case, they have decent materials.

Yes thank you the first manufacturing styles are amazing!! Are they actually real leather? I'm just curious longevity wise, will they last as long as the Schott brand leather? FM does have lifetime warranty it seems

They're real leather, they usually use cowhide but use a few other leather types and some textile. They don't use fake leathers.

The leather is a lot softer and a little thinner than Schott, or Vanson. But I think the quality of the leather is still good. They use drum dying, at least on some jackets, which means the color won't fade as fast as a very cheap jacket. They're also made for riding, so they have to have fairly strong materials and stitching to survive sliding down a highway.

They have one jacket which says "0.08-0.09mm" thickness, and I think that has to be a typo, because leather that thin would be like paper. Fashion jackets don't even go that thin, they range from 0.5mm-0.9mm, so if you get a jacket with a thickness of 1.0mm and up, then you already have something unusually robust.

Yep I've been looking at their website now and looked up other reviews and they seem to be well made. Bookmarked this for now so I know what I want and can get one around when I'm done with this cheap jacket haha. Appreciate all the suggestions and info!!

Look at Overland. Their prices are amazingly good for full-grain.

Avoid anything labeled “genuine leather.” That shit is just leather dust glued together. You want full grain.
