Yun Hai sells them in the US! They're my go-to online store for Taiwanese and Chinese pantry items.

That happened to us, too.
The green cooker is still going strong, though!

Both of them broke on the first go. Surprisingly the compact bolt cutters broke faster.
I need an alternative.

Of the two, I would definitely go with the compact bolt cutters.

Pelican makes the best luggage and has a great warranty.
Pelican Air 1615 is max checked bag size. Pelican Air 1535 is max carryon size.

It's not worth it for most, myself included I used to travel extensively. At least weekly domestically and once a month overseas.
I've worn out backpacks and shoulder bags. Never a rolling carry on or suitcase.
Do they break? Yes, eventually. When they do have the airline pay for em. If your traveling enough to wear out or break a bag. You have status with the airlines. It's never taken me more than 20 minutes to get a brand new bag and be in my way.

Speaking as an electrical engineer, almost all 'dumb' electric devices are BIFL. Just have to know how to maintain them.

Techmoan and VWestLife are good resources for stuff like this. When a technology has already had its heyday, the models that are still produced tend to be cheap and crappy: modern cassette players are a good example of this. I find Techmoan videos especially helpful when trying to find "modern retro" devices like these that aren't just bottom of the barrel trinkets
I would recommend something by Sony

Mostly for ability issues. My mom has arthritis and doesn't have the grip strength for a manual opener, but yeah, I've had the same manual opener for 30 years.

Tatung closed their US operations last year. Cool to see their products still being used. Taiwan was smart to adopt the same electrical standard as the US so your Grandma could keep & still use this heirloom!

Absolutely not worth it for you. Just grab whatever is cheap at Costco.
https://luggageworks.com/ is BIFL, but super heavy and totally overkill for someone that doesn’t travel 10+ times per month.

I've always liked the size of banker's boxes so bought them in bulk from an office supply store.
