My husband and I are having thanksgiving dinner just the two of us and will for sure have more than enough for more. We live in the area and would love to make a plate for you. We plan on making Turkey, stuffing, Brussel sprout salad and sweet potato casserole.

This is so sweet, thank you for offering! But I'm trying to distract myself from Thanksgiving festivities so it's not quite as depressing, just looking for some kind of takeout I can enjoy for myself while doing chores around the house.

In 2020 I dined alone. Ordered a feast from India Quality. I still think about how nice that was despite the less-than-ideal circumstances.

I looked on UberEats and there are definitely some that will be open later today...

But sometimes the hours online are preset and it doesn't match the hours on holidays.

I’d give the restaurants a call to check before placing an order - or even better, order directly from the restaurant!

There will places open, but mostly ethnic food such as Thai, Indian, etc. Apologies for the generalization, but cultures that are less likely to celebrate Thanksgiving are more likely to be open. I spent Christmas alone one year (long story) and Mamalehs was a godsend. I was the only gentile in the place.

It’s not about not celebrating, we know that’s when we’ll get a ton of business and we just invite the fam and the workers fam over to the restaurant to celebrate in the dining room together.

As a Jew, I'm so thankful for Chinese and Indian places open on Christmas, hahaha

Indian and Chinese are open on most American holidays so that would probably be your safest bet. I don’t know this for sure but I’d bet some fast food places open until mid day so you can reheat some stuff

I’m so sorry you’re sick! Any chance someone from your family could leave a plate on your doorstep? I hope you feel better soon! If you do order remember to leave a great tip :)

Chinese restaurants are known for being open on Thanksgiving/Christmas. Cannot confirm locally here, but that might be a decent place to start looking.

Thank you for being cautious and making the difficult decision.

I used to get Koreana for Thanksgiving on Prospect. I’d get takeout, but they use Uber Eats and DoorDash.
