I noticed yesterday that trees are already budding! In the first week of February. Complete and utter nonsense.

I wish this would come back. Although I'll be hated for this comment. I love living in new England and love the beautiful 4 seasons we get. I do miss the snow. When the sun goes down at night and the snow is on the ground it's a beautiful site to see.

The worst part of the Boston area is the cold air but no snow. Dealing with the cold isn't worth it if there's no snow.

I remember snow banks as tall as I was when I was a kid, but I was like four feet tall then. It was surprised to see them again as an adult.

Those storms were hardcore. No place to put the snow. I had to dig a trench so my dog could poop. The streets were so narrow, I had a 3 hour drive home one evening, and that was just from the Kendall Square area.

I had only Monday and Wednesday classes that semester and I think I only went to class 2 times the entire month.

I remember riding a bus through Belmont, looking out the window, and not being able to see people walking on the sidewalk because the drifts were taller than the people.

As much as I love the beauty and romance of snow... As a practical matter, I much prefer to walk around the city without wearing heavy boots, without the fear of slipping, dealing with slush, or the dirty ice the day after it snows (and it's even worse for those who own a car or have to shovel their sidewalk/driveway). It's way easier to deal with the cold than the snow.

That much snow before the COVID switch to remote work meant we actually got days off from work and school, it’s sad to think those days are over. Still that was a brutal winter.

This is making fun of that guy? Why the downvotes? Lol

That winter was brutal! I didn’t see my car for 6 weeks. Honestly I don’t miss the snow.

As hard to deal with as this winter was, I really wish we'd get at least one storm, it doesn't feel right that there's literally no snow on the ground!
