I admit….it’s been a minute since I bought a newspaper and I know inflation and all that jazz but FOUR DOLLARS????

For info I can get online for free??

Is it me or is it pretty ballsy to charge so much for something I can Google? All I wanted was the crossword puzzle. Hahaha

I’ll buy a whole crossword puzzle book instead 😂😂😂

They’re keeping a pretty good staff, as opposed to most papers which are downsizing. Their sports section is excellent to boot.

Oh, I get it. A lot of free content out there. I’m just a sports nut.

A physical newspaper at some point has to be looked at as a specialty product.

They print in lower volume now, so it costs them more to print per issue. I subscribe to the digital edition (but currently get free Sunday papers delivered as a bonus). It only costs a few bucks a month, a small price to pay to keep local reporters employed. We don't have as many journalists to hold local officials to account as we once did, and God help us if we lose all the local reporters.
