Cafe silvium in Stamford
Came here to say this
Been there. Definitely a good one
Was about to say the same You will not find better A must eat
Cafe Silvium in Stamford. Trattoria A’Vuchella in Bridgeport.
Biagio Osteria in Stratford.
Biagio’s in Stratford, Sal E Pepe in Newtown, Tuttis in Westport are probably my top 3.
There’s a few in Bridgeport I want to try, Ralph n Rich, Vucchella. Via Sforza and La Zingara are solid. Cafe Silvium is quite good.
My favorite Italian in the state has been in New Haven area generally. L’Orcio, Strega, Zeneli, Pasta Eatalia, and for old school red sauce Sopranos vibes: Biagetti’s.
That Sal E Pepe had like a clean sweep in all of the latest best of Ct awards
Good director. Never met him, personally, so I can't say if he's my favorite Italian or not.
Luigi
Luna Azzurra Italiano
Liana’s Trattoria
Luigi’s, Fairfield
Eh I’ve had it many times. Good for the price I’d say but not great.
Cafe silvium
Italian pastries - Del Prete Bridgeport. The cannoli cake is AMAZING.
Giuseppe is pretty great - not sure if he'd be the best
Pelliccis in Stamford
Mike’s ristorante in Norwalk is so, so old school. Took my team there for lunch one day, spent two hours there just talking to the guy. Didn’t even give us a menu, just said “these are the things that I’d like to make for you”. He gave me a tour of his kitchen and shit, real deal guy
Edit: this is one of those “I really didn’t want to reply with this and blow the spot up” type of comments, but as a foodie I have to spread the love
