Hi folks. I’m in NE CT and looking for tint shop and ceramic coater recs. Anyone have experience with any shops they use/used and trust?

Also, curious to hear thoughts on tint percentage. I know 35% is legal but…

Any tint shop will go as dark as you want, they’ll just let you know (and sign) that they aren’t responsible for any tickets you get, nor will they replace tints that are removed.

As for the shop, I got mine done at Tint Master. Great price, super fast install, and really good quality work.

I recently used Unique Wraps in Enfield and I was quite happy with the service and results

On tints, I've always put 20% all the way around. Never got pulled over or ticketed for it. It's considered an "add-on", so they can if they pull me over for speeding or something else.

Good to know. The 20% def protects and looks way better.

I got 20%. I was content on legal 35%, but looking around at all the cars with tiny, I saw a lot of 20%, enough that I wouldn’t stick out. I don’t drive like an asshole, and if I’m every pulled over I’ll just roll them all down a little to let in more light.

The two places on the Berlin Turnpike in Berlin are highly recommended. Pricey, but flawless. Seeing as how your looking for ceramic coating, appearance is probably high on the list. I didn’t get ceramic tints, I think they were almost double the price, but they are very high quality.

I'm in Windham County and went to tint master in New London last weekend for ceramic tints. It's a father and son shop, did great work. Took about 3 hours for all windows in an suv.

I like the roll down method….will def keep that in mind. And will look up those shops, thanks.

The ceramic coating I was thinking of was more for the car not the windows but I hear the ceramic window tint (if one can afford it…questionable for me) is the way to go.
