Wondered if anyone can shed some light on this.

Have a system boiler on the house.

Have replaced the majority of radiators and or valves in my house over time (using procedure, drain, fit, repressurise and bleed). No issues with them gassing before and haven't topped up the inhibitor as was waiting until I did the last one.

Finally fitted last rad (10L capacity), put Ll of inhibitor in, repressurised the system and bled. Balanced the system.

First few days could hear lots of air moving about - not really worried as knew it'd take a while to settle. Bled again and topped up pressure.

The issue is, it's gradually getting worse again, can hear a lot of air esp when the system turns on from cd. It's been 6 weeks since the last rad was fitted. Spoke to a plumber (when boiler was being serviced) who said mixing inhibitor types is ok and thought it was just because of the new water mixing.

My question, have I missed anything? My initial thought is it needs more inhibitor, but why wasn't it gassing before the final rad fit?

But you removing the air from all the radiators in the system?also what is the top point in the system?

Yep, did each rad by closing them all and opening one at a time, starting downstairs and moving up. Defo fully cleared the entire system.

Top point is the towel rad in the bathroom, but air seems to find its way to one rad in the master bedroom over the others.

There is an auto air valve on the HW tank, if that helps

Valve works as should? Edit. When the last rad was fitted, a lot of water escaped?

Values all work, all new rads have had new valves fitted.

Used squeeze offs on the plastic pipe so didn't lose much water at all when fitting.

Remotely idk what else to suggest you, maybe try to fill up litte more water (if not automatically done)

Thanks for your assistance. I'm going to go with my theory of it needing more inhibitor and add another litre of the same stuff I put in it before.

The pressure of the system is at 1.5 bar cold so that's all good.

Glad it's nothing obvious. Just puzzled why it was ok before with less... Weird!

If it still does it, I'll try a full drain and refill. Then call a plumber 😄

I wouldn't worry about air sounds in the system if pressure isn't going down.

Are all your rads filled from the bottom? We have had to top fill one of our rads and it makes a bit of noise, probably as it has a small air gap at the top.

A you-tuber I follow reccommends loading up your system with a bottle or two of cheap strong perfume, if you catch a whiff of it around the house then you'll likely have a leak around that area.
