Thanks for looking, everyone! The mountain pictured here is Mount Michaelson, the fourth tallest peak in the US Arctic. I shot this photo while on assignment; a two week expedition filming a documentary about ski mountaineering and environmental conservation.

I shot this on the Sony A1 with the 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II.

117mm, f/4.0, 1/250 sec, ISO 100.

There's always a lot of questions about arctic expeditions so I'm happy to answer any you may have! In the meantime if you like this I can be found around the internet as NateintheWild.

Which film would that be? I would love to watch it; have always been fascinated by the North Pole.

I used to travel to Anaktuvuk Pass several times a year and tried to make a case to move there. It was so gorgeous. Beautiful Alpenglow!

Wow! Brooks Range? Where?

I’m not sure I understand the question. The Brooks are in Alaska, or did you mean where in the Brooks?

Oh my bad. I was asking if this is in the Brooks and if so, what peak?
