This subreddit is primarily for maine residents talking about maine - not for soliciting vacation suggestions. Just follow our rules and you'll get some help.

Then drive to Bar Harbor and eyeball the hotels for yourself.

Damn y’all are rude. I don’t exactly live nearby, if you weren’t aware Maine is a pretty big state. If you don’t have anything helpful to say then just don’t say anything. Sheesh

They started by being helpful and pointing you to the thread designated for this discussion. It not being the help you wanted is on you, not them.

I wasn’t really talking about the first guy because right when he said it I went and posted. Telling me to go do it myself is not helpful. I’m not interested in getting into an argument with anyone, you can argue with yourself if you want. Have a good day

Atlantic Oceanside sucks now that weed is legal

I am not following, why does weed legalization impact that hotel?

The whole front side is open and people now freely smoke even though you’re charged a 250$ fine

I have gone to Bar Harbor dozens of times, both as a family vacation and romantic getaway. It is our family's favorite place to go! One hidden and absolutely amazing waterfront hotel is the Balance Rock Inn. They are just down the cliff walk from Bar Harbor Inn, but is completely sheltered from the noise of the town.

Try the Saltair Inn for a waterfront B&B (disclaimer, I live here so I’ve never stayed there but the location is great)
