So what you’re saying is that you got stuck in a two year group buy? 🤣

That's quite impressive. It usually takes me 3 years to pick up a keyboard and take a photo of it.

So is that a power button that turns off your computer 👀

There's no way anyone would actually put a power button there. That's like the number one mispressed key lol

Capslock is for me weird. I nearly never use it intentionally, even when at times it would be more convenient that holding shift for a long time.

But yeah by mistake quite frequently.

I'm an idiot that trained himself to use caps lock instead of shift. I'm retraining my muscle memory at the moment and it's going well but caps lock for me is a key I used to use all the time.

Jesus. But how?! its so much more work, how did you think using caps was good?

but then again, i used bend my thump for using shift, which is even worse as i have small ass iso left shift and i only use left shift. I think it went this way because i felt very uneasy using my pinkie on the hard membranekeyboards iinitially used

Oh god I tried to do that just now. Terrible! Glad I'm not the only one with stupid habits

Yeah i used to be quite good at this, it didnt really hinder/slow me when gaming, only when typing texts and stuff. But yeah doing it now feels atrocious, glad someone told me that my habit was stupid and i retrained my pinkie

I use caps lock at lock for work, but that's because I'm typing out a lot of acronyms and it's way easier to just tap caps locks for acronyms of 4-5 letters, then tap it again to get rid of it.

Stepped Caps Lock is your friend to avoid accidental activations ;)

Well any hotswap board and prebuilt board ist not stepped, so yeah. And also most keycap sets dont come with it in the base it. i have a few vintage cherrys that are stepped.

More and more hotswap boards are able to have both stepped and regular caps options using a flipped switch orientation.

I don't think I've seen a single keycap set that didn't come with a stepped caps key unless it was as cut-down set meant to be sold with a specific keyboard or a very cheap set.

I swapped Caps Lock with [back]delete (aka Backspace on Windows). My logic is that reaching for delete to fix mistakes is far more common than Caps Locking and also when I'm in various programs where I'm deleting elements. I don't have to reach my left hand far to the right or take my hand off the mouse. Just a quick pinkie move from Home Row and I'm good to go. It took about 4 days to adjust. Also, backspace/delete is moving the cursor to the left, not to the right, so why am I hitting a key that's to the right of center?
