I realized as I was sitting in the dentist chair today, that every time I had a medical procedure done I listened to the album ‘Morning View’ by Incubus. It has the perfect balance of chaos and calm to keep me grounded.

I also realized that every time I had to do difficult client work, I fired up ‘Pure Heroine’ by Lorde. Her balance of mellow beats and snarky lyrics put me in the right headspace.

Where do you use your emotional support album?

Morning View hit at my prime high school time and has such a soft spot in my heart lol, all the nostalgia.

Through a tumultuous teenage career I always fell on Silverchair - Neon Ballroom. I still listen to it and it's one of those albums I don't pick and choose songs, I gotta spin the entire thing.

Morning View is an absolutely brilliant album, though my personal favourite album of all time is S.C.I.E.N.C.E!

Teen Dream by Beach House. I get panic attacks in planes and I listen to it if I start feeling anxious. Calming vibes throughout.

Oooh, I do that too! But mine is hush calming mixes, not a complete album.

Weird choice but if I need to feel grounded, I pop on "Not The Actual Events" by Nine Inch Nails. Great sound design details in that EP that my brains enjoy picking apart every time.

I use Iowa by Slipknot when I feel like shooting up a school (after raging in a video game.) The song People = Shit also hits home when playing ANY online multiplayer.

'good kid MAAD city' by Kendrick Lamar makes me less social anxious due to the song The Art of Peer Pressure. It is my gateway to hip-hop music.
