I used to love listening to a rap verse on a pop song. For me, it's just something with the oftentimes playful rhymes and loose flows on mostly upbeat melodies. I vividly remember enjoying Kanye rapping on Keri Hilson's Knock You Down. But recently I find it harder than ever to enjoy. Let me give you an example in Thuggers lyrics on Calvin Harris feat. Dua Lipa:
"Fifteen million hoes 'cause I'm undecided I'm kicking shit karate, ooh I'm serving bricks in somebody hood Fucked a bitch, catch a charlie, ooh Gucci flip flops and joggers, ooh"
The filler-ooh's, the non-rhymes, the shallow and superficial content, a lazy flow. I mean, he at least sounds quite good and fits the summery vibes, I guess.
Can you provide me with recent examples of good, quality bars on a real pop song? Would appreciate. Feel free to state your opinion on the topic, too, of course.

Ty Dolla $ign's part in Work From Home is pretty good. He also partly sings it which works.
