I've been listening mostly to podcasts and audiobooks the last 5 to 10 years and am now interested in catching up on what I've missed.

So please gimme your best/favorite rock and metal song recommendations released in the past decade.

Very excited to dive into the good stuff!

Oh, thx for that. I like thrash and stoner metal most, but also indie rock bands like Muse and (early) Incubus.

Stoner Metal Eh?

This isn't really rock but one os my favorite eccentric albums.

"Oysterhead is an American rock supergroup featuring bassist Les Claypool of Primus, guitarist Trey Anastasio of Phish and drummer Stewart Copeland of The Police, with both Claypool and Anastasio providing vocals. The band's eclectic sound has been described as "alt-funk fusion"

here you go. some thrash albums i've liked in the past few years, it's only missing:
hellish - the dance of the four elemental serpents, which came out late last year.

Listened in a bit - sounds real nice, especially Boss K. Is that a specific sub-genre, like chill metal?

First few Boss Keloid albums were Doom / Stoner but in the last two albums they've graduated onto a more Proggy sound

Wolf by Highly Suspect. It's my favorite song of theirs. It steadily builds, culminating in a big mess of guitar solos and noise. Awesome song to crank up.

They have lots of good songs.
