If you’re willing to drive to west boylston, there’s Gerardo’s off the main strip crossing in from Worcester.

Or off of pleasant street, heading towards Paxton there’s a small bakery called On the Rise. Like most, you want it fresh best to get there early. Best of luck!

I didn’t realize Gerardo’s had bread? I think of them more for cannolis and other pastries

Some of the best fresh Italian bread I've had. It's a Christmas staple to go with the pot of sauce and meatballs!!

I suggest someone call them. That’s what I was told when I stopped in looking to buy bread.

Crust but go to the one on Main Street. The one on west boylston isn’t as good

I personally think the W. Boylston location is better for pastries, drinks, etc. But you have to get there early or they sell out. I wish they had certain items just slightly later in the afternoon. Their poptarts are quite good but I have only gotten their early enough to have them maybe once or twice.

Main St. location, like you said, is probably better for bread and it still has certain pastries.

MELVIN UDALL: There's a bakery on the corner that'll be open soon. That way we're not screwy, but two people that like warm rolls.
