Female cats can mate with multiple males whilst in heat, 1 specific male cat (unless under strict supervised pairings) could be the father of 1 kitten and each other kitten could also have different fathers.
So whilst your pictured clowder has 1 male in the group - he might not be the father of any of Mom cat #3's offspring shown.

Very true. My last babies were a pair of litter mates whose only common attribute was that they were both cats. My vet told me that cats in heat can be extremely… social and that litters have multiple fathers more often than not.

Mother is the small black one. Tabby is the male
