Next door; entrance would have been just to the right of the picture.

Kind of none of the above. This building was more where the Old Navy/Borders were later. But the entrance we’re looking at here is in the side sort of where the Circuit City was.

Wow. Had not thought about Caldor in forever. What’s up next, Bradlees?

For a second, I thought it was the one on York Rd and Gittings Ave. There was a Caldor there, right?

Yeah. Don’t think there is a mall in Timonium.

I remember the Caldor, but calling this area “Timonium Mall” is definitely before my time. It was Yorkridge Shopping Center, and it had a movie theater, Circuit City, and The Charred Rib.

Is Kohls the same as Caldor, because they feel the same?!

All opinion of course. I have shopped at all of these stores in my life, though.
Klohls is "average to mid-high" in pricing and brands. Caldor was a discount department store closer to a Target or (if you remember them) Montgomery Ward.

Target is a lot nicer than Caldor, which was more like K-mart

This. I grew up in Ellicott City and we had the Chatham Mall nearby, anchored by a K-mart and a Caldor. I remember my mom didn't really like shopping in either store, and as soon as the Long Gate shopping center was built in the mid-90s with a Target, that's where we shopped, lol. Target has always felt like a much nicer store, even if it sells the same kind of product.

In New York Kohl's bought a bunch of the old Caldor stores.

Was circuit city next door in the 90s? Or did it replace Caldor?
