I'm planning on giving birth at Johns Hopkins Hospital downtown any day now and am driving down from Charles Village. The Running Festival Route looks like that might be difficult if I need to go on Saturday. Any suggestions for different routes?

in addition to what the other commenter said, you might consider getting a hotel or airbnb for the day. if you can afford it, it would eliminate all worry.

I would make sure your car is within the marathon route. Since the hospital is within the route, crossing over would take the longest or may not be possible depending on timing. Normally there is a guide that goes out that gives approximate times that runners will be at each mile. Maybe someone else can link it because I haven’t seen it yet.

I'll be honest, you're pretty in that bubble and just looking at the map (https://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=06f2959e05c24bbebf51fe476eb369c1&extent=-76.6617,39.2789,-76.5349,39.3279), I don't have any great directions for you.

My best advice would honestly be to find an AirB&B (or a friend or someone you can stay with) somewhere in Butchers Hill (you don't want to have to cross Linwood) during that time. Maybe also talk to your OB to see if they know of any resources Hopkins may have (legit no idea, I just know there aren't any hotels super close).

Thank you for posting this map. Based on this we're inside the bubble with Hopkins so we should be okay.

Considering the traffic we got stuck in as nurses during the cycling event last month or so, it took an hour to get there and I like a mile away, Definitely plan ahead, the traffic control in the city was non existent then.
