You don't think he'd do the arena?
I can't imagine tickets for him in a smaller place like the Hippodrome would be that reasonable.

I spent the better part of the morning combing through most of the venues in Baltimore and after ruling out places with listed engagement on March 4th, I'm fairly certain the most likely place is the Hippodrome. I'd imagine that Rock might want to not have too big of a crowd in Jada Pinkett Smith's hometown...🤷🏼♀️
ETA: By no means condoning what happened at the Oscars, just pointing out that it wouldn't be an unreasonable concern for Rock's security team.

Thank you for doing the actual work! Plus Hippodrome is definitely the best looking for a big special like this. They are really going to pump up the historic nature of this first live comedy special for Netflix. Will probably be a good deal industry crowd.

Happy to help! Hoping to get tickets to surprise my husband for our anniversary and I'll post here if I see a location confirmed anywhere!

Yeah, but at the same time if it’s a live-streamed special, I’d think it might lean towards the nicest places as far as tech goes - which if it’s available by then, will be the Arena

No, I agree, but I come from a security background so that's just automatically the lense I apply to things like this. YMMV, just offering my take on why a smaller location might be preferable for people paid to have similar concerns.

I think the arena is still under construction.

There or the Lyric. I think he performed there (or was supposed to when everything got shut down)
CreampuffOfLove t1_j1sph37 wrote
Lyric has a scheduled engagement that night, per The Baltimore Sun, otherwise I'd agree: https://imgur.com/a/zxr0Yqi

Chris Rock did the Lyric this year .... shortly after the Oscars.

Dave Chapelle did The Lyric for his last sold out show. I say it's going to happen there.

Zero chance.
Chris Rock does concert halls and arenas not clubs, at least not for a tour or to film a special.

No word yet on the venue. Hoping Hippodrome and tickets are reasonable.
