Overnight stay in Beverly?

I’m going to see a show in Beverly later this week and didn’t really feel like taking the commuter rail all the way back to Boston afterwords, but GOOD GOD every semi decent hotel/ Airbnb is upwards of $200 a night. It is a relatively small town an hour north of Boston on a Wednesday night in February, what am I missing here?

I have never been, but surely there are some realistic old school BnBs there, right? If anyone has experience with the area and can recommend me somewhere I would very much appreciate it, thanks!

Maybe try staying in Salem. It’s just stop closer to Boston but should have more options. Shouldn’t be a crazy expensive Uber to get there after the show then take commuter rail home from there

While in general this is true, there is one hotel I know of right in downtown Beverly. The Cabot Lodge right on Cabot St, it's only about a block from the theater.

It's $141 for the night this Wednesday so if I were OP I'd probably just do that. The Salem hotels look to all be around that price or more anyways, so might as well save the need for the uber ride.

There's not much tourism in Beverly for a hotel. There's a Hampton Inn in Peabody for about $100-$125 a night.

Endicott College in Beverly has a hotel that is $100 for March 1st.

Last time we stayed in Beverly, we stayed at the Cabot Lodge. It's a small, clean boutique hotel, we were very happy with it. It's a block away from the Cabot theater, so you can safely get your drink on. It looks like Wednesday night would be about $140.00.

Salem will have hotel options as will Peabody and Wakefield. There’s the Wakefield Four Points near Lynnfield Market Street - lots of shops around there.

I am, and yeah they were insane. I really love the band and have been desperate to see a good show for the last couple months so I sprung for it. That being said what is going on with concert tickets right now is criminal and unsustainable.

Clipper Ship Inn is just over the bridge in Salem and is the best lodging deal around. It's not fancy but it's clean.

I’ve stayed at “The Beverly” a few times. Formerly the Lakeview Motor Lodge. There’s really no where else to stay in town. Always clean and better than expected. Not sure what the rates are, but also not sure where you can stay anywhere in New England for under $200/night that isn’t rundown or high risk for bedbugs.

Yeah, the whole Greater Boston area is extremely expensive, so not surprised.

Where are you traveling from? You might be able to find something cheaper in Lawrence, or Southeastern New Hampshire.
