The Brattle is running a Marx Brothers movie fest on 1/1, and their popcorn is good.

The Brattle and the Coolidge Corner Movie house have interesting offerings throughout the year. If you like movies, it worth keeping an eye on the schedules. Both have food options in a range of price points nearby. (also Harvard Film archive is worth considering)

Zo's in Assembly Row is the best restaurant in the Boston region of it in terms of value and quality. Full bar, great Greek menu, solid service. You can get out with entrees and drinks for under $60.

I think his “intimate illusions” show is coming to an ed but check out Ivan Amodei. He does really neat Magic shows, sometimes in a small formal setting. Tickets aren’t too expensive, and they are fun, I’ve been.

Otto pizza (fancier pizza with by the slice option), you can get a couple slices and a soda for ~10 each and if you go to one of the larger locations you can sit at a table for an hour or two without being bothered
