Some places that closed in Dec and/or Jan may have opened back up by late Feb. You will miss the Salem So Sweet Festival that is earlier in Feb.

Was just there. A lot of the shops are closed because “seasonal”, but there’s no lack of witch/occult themed shops open still. There’s a section of town with old brick road that has a lot of the shops which fits that vibe. Peabody was great, although somewhat discontinuous with the rest of the town. Lots of interesting Asian exhibits. It’s a huge, modern museum. Nothing witchy, though.

Honestly the witch trial sites themselves are not particularly interesting. It’s mostly old buildings, some of which have modern residents, the memorial, which isn’t very notable, and a cemetery with some somewhat notable people.

There’s also the House of the Seven Gables, which is worth visiting if you’re interested in that era of architecture or the link to Hawthorne. Their web site says they reopen Feb. 10, so that should work for you.

Most everything is open all year. Less Halloweeny stuff outside of Autumn but you'll find plenty to do. Dress warm.

Salem is massively overrated. PEM is good, and a few decent restaurants but that is about it.
