Just want to give you props for actually using REAL GDP and not nominal GDP. Way too many people here posting nominal values that misrepresent the reality of the situation.

Some additional points on the color scale would have been helpful, although I would say the highest third of the scale is a nearly indistinguishable blue.

Poverty or Wealth is influenced by GDP (income), but it's a totally different measure. Kind of like comparing miles to miles per hour.

Should see this as comparison with mean per capita earnings, to compare how well or poorly GDP is distributed amongst the population in any given country.
