With respect to Strava, a calculation and comparison is underway (for the purity of the experience, the height in the track has been removed and each software assigns its own climb). More details on each software in the source at the link to the description of the visualization.

Quite misleading to state that Strava's metric is 'perfect'.

If anything i'd guess it underestimates by ~30% due to the clustering of 4 platforms from 28%-30% (Assuming they get their altitudes from different sources).

I'm not saying that Strava is perfect (perfect in quotation marks). Relative to Strava, calculations of other applications are underway. I could calculate, for example, relative to Sports Tracker and then Strava would give ↓1022%, and Sports Tracker 0%. Please read the full article before making such strange suggestions.

The bottom line is to clearly show the marketing sports nonsense associated with heights.
