I am retired, female and love getting scam calls...every time I get a call for my extended warranties, I give them a different car/truck/motorcycle, and if it is about the house, I make up extravagant details.
I got a call from a woman, most likely for India, wanting to help me with my credit card balances and loans..She can help me reduce or cancel all my debt...ok right, this is going to be fun!
She asks if i have any debts, " Oh, yes I do, I own over a hundred thousand in credit cards and loans" I tell her.. she asks how many credit cards I have..."eight" I replied," and a couple of unsecured loans."
"Well, sir" she called me sir! "I can help with that, what is your name, please?"
Trying not to laugh, I say my name is Stanley, " and I will spell my last name..S..T..E..A..M..E..R.." Now she is calling me Mr. Steamer..It was the first name that popped into my head..
" What is your address, Mr. Steamer?"
"1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington.." then she asks for the zip code.. I start to panic because I don't know it..
" I don't know the zip code because I never send myself mail." I tell her.
She starts yelling at me that I am trying to scam her, why am I doing that, she is only trying to help me..I start to argue with her about just who the scammer is...and she keeps going and going and going.....and I am thinking, you go girl because the longer you are on the phone with me, the less time you have to scam someone that may be a victim of your scam...
I start to ask her questions about where she is in India, naming addresses in the major cities and siting where the police stations are in those cities...she hangs up...
And I was just getting started.....So, my reddit friends, if you have the time, keep these scammers talking, waste their time. I am waiting for the next call to come in!
