It was a game on those demo Disk, either the 53 or the 42.

You controlled a ship that could fly, hover and dive. The world was relatively small but it was a sphere. Also the enemies were some sort of dinosaurs/aliens. You had to save the scientist or the world would be destroyed. Also in the main menu the screen was black and had one of those flying things. Sorry to explain it so vaguely, it's what I can remember.

#Edit: ITS V2000, I REMEMBERED. WHAT. A. GAME. Thanks for you time. Really :)

No, the game I'm talking about had a more realistic aesthetic (I can't think of a better word xd) and the alien was more like a pterodactyl

Is it this style of “six degrees of freedom” game though? Could also be Forsaken, which is just Descent with better graphics I guess..

It was just one word on the title. I may be tripping but I swear it started with V.

Was it like vector graphics on a grid, and you could set up little outposts, and then choose to send your little rover off to scout for resources or something?

It's making me remember a game on a demo disc I was obsessed with and now can't remember at all!
