It's on sale and I was wondering if it was worth a buy as I didn't enjoy red dead 1 too much.

Great single player, multiplayer is fun for a while but R* abandoned support for online so it won't be updated past now.

It's been dying since R* announced they were abandoning it.

I flip between it and Witcher 3 as the best game I've ever played in 25 years of gaming, but I also heavily enjoyed RDR 1 to be fair. 2 is far more cinematic, deeper in detail and immersive to the point of Arthur feeling like a real person if that sways you any.
Same overall flavor though, so admittedly, I can't say with certainty you will like 2.
I liked it
Single player yes definitely
Online probably
It’s a really good story. All of the small details and all of the random events and side missions make the game insanely immersive. Took me a good 5 hours before I really started getting into it but when I did I never stopped til I 100%’d it.
It's in my top 5 of all time, but I also enjoyed the first one, but no where near as much as 2. It's a true masterpiece IMO. I'm specifically referring to the single player, multiplayer is garbage, they tried to model it after GTA and it suffers greatly because of it.
Would consider being hypnotised into forgetting about it just so I could play it from scratch again.
Phenomenal game in so many ways and probably the best game I've ever played in terms of loving the characters/story.
Definitely worth it.
And is it worth getting ultimate edition. Does it actually add a lot of decent content
It’s a great game and it’s huge with tons to do and explore but it’s a very purposely slow-moving experience, especially for the first few hours of the game, so if you’re not prepared for that you may be in for a shock at first.

Dutch's plan is for you to buy it
It's definitely not for everyone, it's extremely sluggish compared to most other games
As in its more realistic and weighty and people and horses dont magically zoom around like in assassins creed?
As in it takes its sweet old time to tell it's story and it has so. much. input. lag.
It's not input lag, the animations have realistic movements and physics, characters actually have weight instead of being weightless and floaty like most third person games, and they feel terrible
It's input lag, though
Not that it makes much of a difference to a game that's like 98% listening to people talk while riding horses with a bit of gun maintenance and wardrobe management sprinkled here and there
Fucking what? There is not any input lag, are you for real? "98% listening to people talk" it's a narrative-driven game. Not sure what you expected, Fortnite?
I expected a GTA-quality game, since, you know, they made that too
It's not bad.. bit slow paced for my liking..and the menu interface isn't the best. Story is great tho
Couldn't get into it, the character moves painfully slowly around the world. Lots of people seem to love it though, worth a try
If you watch Doug Doug's video on it, that explains way better how the game is than I could say. It is also spoiler free.
Hell…….. YES!
No it's not, visuals and story are great (from having watched enough content on it) but the gameplay is exceptionally boring and why I dropped it after about 20 hours.
Yes. Probably my favorite game of all time (just ignore the multiplayer)
Currently beating it and i need to say YES
It’s very similar to first game. If you don’t like it don’t force yourself and be disappointed. Buy something else.
Not played any of them dont know why same with GTA haven't like one since GTA vice city and stories hated San andreas .. Nd with 4 and five just don't like to be honest .. number is my favourite

It’s in my top 5 for sure but hard for me to recommend it to someone who didn’t like Red Dead 1.
