I dont know if the title really gets at what im trying to say as I cant think of the best way to describe it, but i'll try anyway. I'm looking for more sandbox type of games where there is a bunch of content that you can do and things that you can improve where you can be like "I think I will improve this today and tomorrow I can start on this thing and maybe it will let me start this thing now" Thats the best way I can describe it but things like Stardew Valley, Minecraft, Terraria are examples of these type of games

Factorio and Rimworld. Two of the best games ever made. I loved making plans while i wasn't playing for the next day

I SECOND Rimworld. I played it for the first time this year, and good god was that a fantastic experience.

I'll piggy-back on your Factorio answer - If you have a gfx card that can handle it, DO play Satisfactory. There's so much to do & explore in that game that if you get sick of one task, you can explore or work on something else.

Animal Crossing (similar to those you listed), many survival games would probably be up your alley (i.e. Subnautica, the Forest, etc).

Strangely enough, the Yakuza series features this heavily, especially the latest one, Like a Dragon.

Every game has a separate "Completion Log" which gives you a bunch of different tasks to do, which ranges from performing certain actions in combat, eating every item in every restaurant, getting the high scores on various arcade games, minigames, etc.

To give you an idea of how addictive this can be, I beat Yakuza: Like a Dragon's main story at 65 hours or so, but didn't finish the completion log until 140 hours.

Warframe is great if you want a looter shooter type of game. Plenty of things to craft and level up in different missions. Plenty of materials to farm and different activity types.

Pretty much any survival game fits that bill. I really enjoy Subnautica.
