So I’ve been feeling off about the Switch for some time now. Ever since I finished Bayonetta 3 I realized I haven’t put that much time into the console at all and I’m kind of done with it.

Outside of 13 sentinels and TMNT, I don’t care for the system and I’m realizing Nintendo isn’t a company I’m big on their IP’s on. So I feel like I wasted my money on the system even though I picked it up late and played all the games that grabbed my attention on the console. Add to the fact I can’t stand Nintendo fans anymore, I’m sort of just debating what to do with the device.

So now I’m just trying to decide whether I should sell it or keep it for nostalgia’s sake for the future. But I won’t be going back to the system anytime soon.

Why would you keep it for nostalgia's sake if it is "not for you"? Sell it now while you can still get some money out of it.

I've had a switch for a while and there was a period of at least a year that i didn't touch it at all.

Lately playing Arceus and really enjoying it.

Don't feel bad, you will figure out whether to keep it or sell it

I still have Wii U, dont know why but won't get rid of it 😂

I don’t touch mine until Pokémon games come out but I have kids and they play it everyday. If you don’t feel it’s for you sell it now going to be a lot of parents looking for them for their kids

So you don't care for the big Nintendo IPs and you realized that AFTER buying the Switch? Like, I don't care for Halo or Forza so I won't buy a Xbox, but that's something you should think about before buying the console, not after.

So yeah, just sell it as long as you still get money for it, lmao.

It is odd when people buy stuff they don't really like. It's almost to prove to themselves they don't really like it!

I wanted to try new IP’s instead of the standard third party stuff like usual so I stepped outside my comfort zone for a bit with the Switch.

Cool and you should step out of your comfort zone again in the future. This time you didn't end up enjoying and that's fine. Sell the Switch to someone who really wants one and use the money for other stuff you know you want or will like.

either sell it
or hold on and see what games are good on the switch that are worth it (unless you cant stand 30fps and 720p then sell)

*Sigh* I kind of feel the same way.

It's graphics are bad, the games are coop oriented and I have no friends left, the games are more expensive than on my XB1, PS4 and PC. I don't think I really care enough about their main IPs to shell over 55-60$ for every game that don't discount. I have had mine since september 2021, and I only have 5 games for it though I just ordered 2 more here on black friday hoping that having more games will improve my interest in it. Pff... Maybe getting a nintendo switch just to own all platforms is a bad choice... :( Sorry for the rant everyone who likes their switch. But I got mine for my birthday and don't know what to do... or how to feel

Try looking into their online option there's a bunch of classic games too. You can view the list and pricing online before paying.

I had one and sold it for that reason. Played a few of the IP’s and liked them but the rest of the games and the IP’s I actually like are too few and far between.

I kind of feel you. I've mostly used mine for Metroid Dread and playing Mario Party with my wife. I've barely touched it in months. I'm holding on for the next Zelda game, after which it will likely gather dust again.

A lot of the games I would have wanted to have on switch are just so much cheaper on pc that I can't justify paying the difference. And for exclusives, unless I'm really excited for something It's hard to buy a new Nintendo game when I have a service like gamepass keeping me occupied for next to nothing.

Same boat, I bought my switch for two reasons, let's go pikachu, because pokemon yellow was my first ever game, and Metroid 4.

It started drifting 3 months in, so I bought 3rd party replacements, good thing too, because Nintendo still hasn't fixed their hardware.

It hasn't been docked in over a year, and I've played a total of 2 hours on a flight in the same timeframe.

What a waste.
