Genuine question. I'm not a console or pc fanboy. I have a good PC and have played on PS4 and PS5 . However Im thinking of getting a console for Christmas and the PS5 for me is out of my price range. Does the Xbox have a good performance? Or am I just better off buying an Xbox game pass?

If you have decent PC buying Xbox doesn’t make much sense. PS5 and PC is best option.

If you want a console buy Nintendo Switch. Xbox games are all available on PC and now most of the Sony exclusives are getting PC-ports too.

Don't buy it. Buy the Xbox One if you just want to access Game Pass. Series S is the weaker console and it won't stand the test of time. That's why you can find them at every Walmart. Series controllers also work on One if you really want that screenshot button. I personally believe the OG One controller is the best design even though it sucks not having that screenshot button. The Elite is the main reason to buy any Xbox, especially since you're a PC gamer. Buy Game Pass Ultimate and you can play games on PC too!

Personally if your a console guy a Xbox Series S is completely worth the buy.

That's just it. I'm not...if a game is good I'll take it. No matter the platform ( except mobile) But I saw an S at a decent price but now I'm thinking...game pass is available for pc too and I'd basically have to get it even if I snatch the S. The lazy one in me says yes ..take it so you can sit in bed and play but the cheap bastard in me says no :)). In any case I was wondering more about the performance...would it be able to run 4k highest details ? My pc can do highest details but on 1920x1080p

The series s is focused at mainly 1080p gaming and you dont really get to touch graphics settings aside from motion blur and other little things

If you pick up a series s expecting 4k you will be dissapointed

Series X does 4k and is a solid buy but at the same price as the ps5 it sounds like thats out your price range

Yea it definitely is. Unless you want features like 60fps or 4k, etc, which I don't really care about, with Game Pass it's one of the best value gaming investments ever.

It's been my main console for the past year and a bit, it's definitely worth it.

What have you never heard of saving up money to build a good PC or buy something expensive? I'd save up money for a PS5 but current expenses don't allow it. At most I have money for an S but in any case...my 'troubles' have been settled. Good day to you

Dude what are you smoking... I don't know where you live or if you have trouble reading but Look...I'd save money for a ps5 but like I said already...my current expenses don't allow much wiggle room. Maybe in the future but for now in my country...at my income and expenses...a PS5 is too expensive for me The PC I have now ...I saved up for a few years to get. In any case . I said Ive settled my thoughts on the matter...no console for the moment Read the full comments and/or stop being a troll. Good day to you
