benrinnes t1_j51khap wrote on January 19, 2023 at 7:28 PM Traders picked it up from rodents, (via fleas), as they moved along the Silk Road through Asia. Thereafter it was spread by humans. When Russia expanded eastwards and made a pact with China to shut down the overland Silk Road, it mainly stopped. Permalink 1
