Hey All,

Currently own a iPhone 13 Pro Max and battery life is already at 94% in 1.5 years of owning the device. Is this normal? I usually charge at the end of the day and I get somewhere from 3-5 hours of screen on time. I’m slightly disappointed as battery tech as it has not improved since my iPhone 11 Pro….

1.5 year and only 6% degradation and you’re complaining? Do not use your phone and it will be as new in 5 years.

Actually it wouldn’t, batteries degrade even when not in use.

More or less it would if you leave it ~50% charged when you put it into the box :) Degradation should not be noticeable. iPhone 12 was introduced in 2020 and still is sold by Apple. Manufacturing date won't be year 2023 and the warranty and battery lifetime should be the same as you've bought it in 2020.

Introduced in late 2020 and produced at the very least till mid 2022. So if you’re buying one now it’s less than a year old. 5 years is a very long time for a battery

It has improved. It just has a much higher demand on it as well

Batteries degrade over time, I'm not really sure what else you expect from your phone.

There are steps you could take to improve the life of your battery, but I don't really understand the difference between the battery life being at 95% at full charge or spending the time of maintaining a charge level between 20% and 80%.

Just use the phone, if it doesn't last the day get an in car charger for it, or charge while you're at work.

No, battery tech is improving, slowly. The current suppliers for iPhone batteries are Better in quality control and tech involved than they were at the time of the 11 series, or any time before.

dude mine usually drops 15% after two years. you’re doing fantastic if you’re at 94

I just swapped the battery of my 11 pro, battery degradation was 82% after more than 3 years. 6% in 1.5 years sounds better than normal to me.

The 120hz display drains the fuck out of the battery

11 Pro is the longest lasting iphone ever, except 11 pro max and 13 pro max. 94% after 1.5 years is very good. my regular 14 is at 96% after 3 months.
