i recently switched from samsung to an iphone 14 pro max and usually leave a game open afk for grinding while i'm working, and noticed the phone gets very hot. I think the case is the issue, insulating instead of dissipating heat. I also discovered that since the cameras are so extended, the phone when laid flat wobbles which just bugs me. Because i have a case idea in mind that is specific and am unfamiliar with iphones or overheating issues, i thought maybe the best bet would be to ask for recommendations for a reliable case with some kind of heat dissipation and some sort of sliding camera cover that makes the phone's weight evenly distributed with 4 contact points so it doesn't wobble.

iPhone problem. Gpu isn't that great, recent video on YouTube proves it. https://youtu.be/dJAeR39B96A

isheep jerking off to the Geekbench scores every year is pointless. All that power and can't multitask. One thing for certain, apple marketing is brilliant.

this is very useful information, and i'll keep it in mind the next time i need to replace a phone, but i do still think the case i currently have makes it worse

I switched from s21 to 14 pro and also noticed how much more hot it gets, from fast charging or intensive apps, however, it’s only annoying without the case, with a silicone case it feels fine, so not sure why you experiencing issues

Just get an original case from apple and you’d be fine. I go caseless though

Here’s my two cents: iPhones will get hot, case or no. When it feels particularly warm, I feel the best thing to do is stop what you’re doing (if possible) and turn off the phone for a while. I give it 30 minutes minimum or as long as possible until it cools down… Again, just my opinion.. Hope this helps a little…

30 minutes? Turn off the phone? You just close the app and the app will cool down in 3/4 minutes or less.. 🤔

Understood. Again, just my opinion. I feel better turning my phone off if it gets really warm or even hot…

yes, but i do think the case is also kinda expediting the issue, and was hoping to find more breathe-able cases that also dont wobble, because case or not, the phone still wobbles, and without the case it runs waaayyy less hot with the same amount of use.
