Does iPhone 8 have IR detection in selfie mode, I don’t think it has it in rear camera, currently in a class action lawsuit with employer and I suspect camera bugs.

It says body text is optional but it truly isn’t.

Can you break it down for me? What exactly is your question? None of iPhone 8th cameras have IR detection.

Sorry for being a smartass, my boss is a nutter and I think he is recording conversations, I didn’t know if I could turn lights off and detect traces of IR light from a hidden camera with my phone camera.

None of the iPhones can detect infrared. They can shoot in infrared though

Probably not....

You would need a real IR camera

What are you guys answering here? The question of OP is, if he will be able to see infrared LEDs of hidden cameras, and the answer is a clear YES! I tested myself right now, and both back and front cameras can see for example the IR diode of my TV remote.

According to this, Face ID uses a flood illuminator and an infrared camera, both of which uses infrared light.

This is only applicable to iPhones with Face ID. The iPhone 8 uses Touch ID.
