Reliable app for downloading and saving iOS messages?

I have years of messages on my phone that I want to keep, but now I'm literally running out of memory. Is there a trusted third-party app that will let me download and archive them to my computer, and hopefully search and organize them?

Aren’t they being offloaded to iCloud?

Yes, but they're also not being deleted from the phone. I can't access or read them in the cloud. And yeah, it's weird of me, I know :)

If you send a video to someone (4K video for example), it gets counted as storage used for messages.
