Does anyone else sometimes smell blueberries or baked goods when crossing the Vincent R Casciano or Newark Bay Bridge? I drive it just about every day and sometimes get that kind of smell when crossing it and have been in the car with others who have smelled it too. Just wondering if anyone knows what it is we're smelling.

Firmenich is the largest fragrance company and they have a manufacturing facility on the north side of the bay Bridge, on the newark side of the river. 4 story building white stone dark windows.

I think Gothamist did a thing about this exact smell wafting around Newark years ago, couldn't find it with a quick google. So no, you're not the only one that smells that on that bridge.

Old commute used to go past the Nabisco plant in Bergen County, random chocolate chip cookie smells while driving are tough to beat.
