Yes! I use the one at city hall but I believe there’s a list of drop offs on the city website. We have a countertop compost bin that we use to hold on to our weekly compost. Anything that doesn’t fit in our bin goes in to the freezer until we drop off. Let me know if you have questions!

Thank you! Any particular countertop compost bin you recommend?

I’ve had the small OXO bin for a few years and it works great, easy to wash

I use natural home brands which is metal with a filter in the lid so it doesn’t stink.

2nd and what? I'd love to have something to do with my old coffee grounds, egg shells, etc, but would rather not have to carry them half-way across downtown.

There's another one at the South East Corner of Hamilton Park, and another another on Brunswick Street between 5th and 6th. That, and the 2nd and Washington (which I heard of for the first time today in this thread) are the only ones I know. Would be awesome to hear if there are more.

Hamilton Park has a second compost location at 9th and Jersey

These are great, and you can buy the finished compost from some local stores (I think Whole Foods carries it). The company behind these is Hudson soil Co and it's a great woman-owned local business.

Anyone know if they take pumpkins? I have a few tiny ones decomposing that I’d like to compost

Pumpkins are fully compostable! I don't see any reason why they wouldn't accept them

I drop off at the compost location at Hamilton Park 9th and Jersey and this time of year it can become overloaded with pumpkins. Too many pumpkins and other people can’t drop properly in the bins and the compost boxes become disgusting.

I lived in Avalon cove and used daily (I have put pumpkins here) it doesn’t get picked up too often so it gets full pretty quick but I love it and hope that people continue to use. It’s so easy
