What are your favorite local coffee brands for espresso beans?

I grew up in eastern mass but left a decade ago for Chicago, and I’m back for the month. I want to get a few bags of espresso or dark roast coffee beans that are local to western/central mass, and also eastern mass.

I’m hoping to stock up so I can compare to what they got in Chicago :D

Anyone have any recommendations? Having a hard time finding good brands online. When I lived here I was a Dunks beans kind of girl 😂

And from what I'm seeing they all ship around the country, so as long as they're in business, you'll stay caffeinated.

If I were to choose some favorites, I'd say Armeno, Monsoon, & Brilla.

A lot of these placesa will do custom blends, grinds if your order 5lbs or more.

We have have had a custom blend made by indigo for almost 15 years and whenevert I sip it (daily) I look at it impressed.

Gracenote is the gold standard. Broadsheet, Little Wolf, George Howell are the other go-to eastern MA roasters.

Shelburne Falls has some good roasts, mostly in the pioneer valley.

Fazenda, Equal Exchange, Remnant, One Ocean Coffee, and I heard Polcaris is good but haven’t tried
