No idea. If I had to guess, I'd say that perhaps "made in" may be generally standardized to English.

If it had been in Korean, I wouldn't have caught it. I don't speak Korean.

It's required to export to some countries, including the US. That's why you see "made in China" on so many things. They aren't being patriotic or proud, it's just a requirement of customs.

Doesn't appear to be anything of interest in them. I did turn them out and look at them. That's when I figured out where they were from.
