Babylon is Chazelle’s Heaven’ Gate.

It was great to see a movie of this scale and ambition.

Not all of it worked for me but there are some scenes that are outstanding.

“Well, ya see, my career kinda depends on it. So I’d say it’s mighty important!”

Hate to say it, but he should have made a better movie, then.
