2 weeks ago an 18 pack of large eggs at WalMart was $7.27. A week ago they had dropped to $5.30. Today they were $4.46.

Course a 4 pack of TP at Market Basket is now $3.50.

Oh my God no wonder people were complaining, I bought a dozen eggs the other day and they were $3.49 and I was like “why are people crying about this? How much do they usually cost??” I don’t really eat eggs but I buy them sometimes for recipes and I guess I remember spending $1.99 a while back, so 349 is almost double. But yeah seven dollars that’s a lot

Amazingly the Target egg prices when you do pickup never went above 4.50 for 18.

I feel lucky that we have neighbors who have chickens and they only raised their price a dollar because of the cost of feed going up. $5/dozen is still a bit pricey for eggs but I hadn't realized what the stores were charging. I know people made jokes about it but I never actually looked at the cost. Yikes.

I got a little mad when I was at MB last week and saw what I didn’t immediately realize were “medium” eggs for a dollar cheaper then the others and I thought it was wild but then I saw that package was different and it eventually made sense.

My chickens just started laying so they are singlehandedly lowering the egg prices.
