Only stuff that gets reported to the Insurance company goes on a carfax or if the car was serviced at a dealer.

I had service records from a locally owned Goodyear service center reported on my record (they ran it when I went to sell it). I got my car serviced at multiple dealers and one dealer did not show up while another one did so it’s all hit or miss in my experience

No they actually are worse then a basic Vin search don't rely on it. Get an inspection and check the Vin on gov website

OK - Thanks. I will pass this information along to my partner. Crazy that businesses like Car Fax aren't reliable.

The car was totalled? In a serious crash? Repo'd? Sale history? Reported maintenance from SOME places? yes

was the car abused, in a bunch of minor accidents handled outside insurance, did or didn't have work done at certain mechanics? No.

Get a look at the title look for the letter S it use to be in the prefix section. S stands for Salvage which means it was a rebuilt total loss. Also been awhile I think the letter F means it was In a Flood. Before paying for the car.

I know of a dealership who damaged my SUV by hitting a wall. They fixed it internally. It never showed up on a carfax. That scares me. I should have called the police when it happened. Lesson learned.
