I was thinking of going to the lights in East Brunswick tonight. Has anyone ever done them? If so, just curious about:

How long does it take?

Did you find it worth the $30 (even if not, this feels very reasonable)?

Was it crowded (doesn’t look like you can reserve a time)?

Any additional info?

Please & thank you.

Haha I went through with my dog when I was desperate for a hit of serotonin last year…if you find the price reasonable I would say to check it out. PNC is probably cooler but this one was pretty good.

Was there a long line when you went? It opens at 5:30, so I want to make sure I get there right on time if it gets busy.

Hmmm….hard to tell bc I didn’t really stop. I felt like kind of a moron tbh given the circumstances however I would say 10-20min?

I also recommend the PNC Arts Center one. Just plan ahead because last year (or 2 years ago maybe?) we sat in the car for over 4 hours in line.

I’ve not been but this has me asking a few questions.

  1. Is the drive through a east coast thing? I’m from the Midwest and we usually go to the arboretum or zoo to see the holiday lights. Usually free or small entry fee.

Maybe this is due to Covid but I’m not sure.

  1. People usually decorate their homes in the Midwest and people drive through a neighborhood or walk to see them. I know in NY they have them but is there anything like that in NJ?

  2. Is there anything like the Union Square market here in NJ?

Thanks in advance.
