Definitely unnerving. I wouldn’t go back. No way, no how. Sometimes I’ve had to work in people’s homes that were filled with a stench of filth that was unreal. Like the stench of death and decay. In my customer list I always make notes, and on those I add “NEVER AGAIN!”

The black bird may be Pan? If you're brave enough, I'd bring them both something of high value. Don't trust them even then though. They won't be your friends. But Pan may return the favor in other ways.
