I wonder if it wasn't your reaction to the vision that killed your parents because your dad had to pull over due to your reaction to the vision. While it was a logical one as a child, I don't think that you could have saved them if you reacted quicker. You'd have saved them by not reacting the way you did. So, I'd agree with you in saying that your actions were a direct result in your parents deaths. Which is probably a harder pill to swallow than any other alternative.

Saying her actions were a direct result is not only harsh, but also completely false. If OP stayed silent, I'm pretty sure the only difference would be the level of carnage done to her parents' bodies. The drunk driver was driving on the lane he wasn't supposed to be driving. It didn't matter if her parents tried to calm her down and got slightly distracted (while STOPPING on the side of the road) or if her dad stayed completely focused on the road and tried to avoid the collision. It always happens in a matter of seconds. Their fate was sealed as soon as Peter started driving, not when OP started panicking.
