No you don’t need a mask unless in a medical setting.

Some people (including myself) still wear a mask on the subway. And some stores still prefer you wear a mask, but not required. I would at least have one in your pocket. Btw, I know two people in the city that currently have Covid and two who had it last week. Still possible to catch it.

COVID is definitely still a thing. It’s not over just because you wish it was. But most masking requirements have ended. I’d still wear one on public transit, dr’s appts, crowded venues.

Ofc it still exists and some people are getting it, sometimes seriously. Q was more whether there are legal or cultural measures being used eg masks etc

Not in most of the city. If you feel sick or you’re in Chinatown, it’s polite to wear a mask. Otherwise don’t worry about it as long as you’re fully vaccinated.
