Yeah, my eyes suck. It's not yellow. It's yellow on flightaware/flightradar when they're low altitude. This screen shot doesn't seem to match up color with altitude.

I have no clue what I'm looking at, but I was trying damn hard to find something yellow aside from what was clearly added on top of the graphic... Lol.

Haha. I'm so used to looking at adsbx and other things that use tar1090 and low flying aircraft are yellow.
Those tiny planes don't fly that high anyway.
I think it was someone out on a beautiful day.

Standard hold is a 4nm long oval: https://skybrary.aero/articles/holding-pattern
ATC generally wouldn't need to stick anyone in a hold for pit's volume, they'll just vector as needed

It's yellow so it's low altitude. It looks like a small private plane from the icon. So most likely it took off from a regional airport and since the weather is nice they're either hanging out in the air, seeing the sights, or it's someone learning how to fly.
