I recall seeing Donnie Iris perform in South Park sometime in the early 90's...perhaps it was a Ribfest but I don't recall any ribs. Perhaps it was in '93 and a 50th birthday? Tried to google but got no answer. Anyone remember this and able to put a date to it or other info?

Not sure what other info I can give, it was summer, it was sunny, the stage was setup in the fied across from the county police station where Corrigan meets Brownsville.

Do you mean the Oval, which would have been a South Park Rib Cook off, usually labor day weekend, not sure when they stopped in the 90s /transferred to the 3 rivers parking lot.

Or the South Park Ampitheatre, which would have been one of the Allegheny County summer concerts - grassy hillside, beyond the basketball courts headed towards the South Park HS.

I saw Donnie Iris at least 30, maybe 40 times.

Mostly at Nick's Fat City.

One time at Civic Arena.
